    The Lead Coordinator for the Resuscitation Management program is an expert in the specialty of code management, clinical outcomes, education, and data analytics. Reporting to the Associate Director/Director of Medicine Services, the Resuscitation Lead Coordinator maintains oversight of the design, implementation, and evaluation of resuscitation processes which support education, clinical practice, and quality improvement. Serves as a role model for inter-professional communication and exemplifies organizational leadership. The Resuscitation Lead Coordinator is accountable for strategic program development, implementation, and evaluation related to resuscitation management.

    Responsibilities

    • 1. Provides advanced clinical leadership and maintains responsibility for all clinical and administrative aspects, initiatives, and processes associated with Resuscitation Management.
      • 1.1 Provides vision and leadership in a collaborative environment that offers job satisfaction, recognition, and stimulates innovative thinking to accomplish goals and objectives. Assists in the development of objectives, goals, and strategic plans for the Resuscitation Management program and develops action plans to accomplish set goals and plans.
    • 2. Demonstrates exceptional knowledge and skills that reflect expertise in communication, customer service, professionalism, problem solving, resource management, teamwork, cooperation, and leadership.
      • 2.1 Ensures a professional work environment and maintains responsibility for professional practice and individual professional development.
    • 3. Responsible for the oversight and development of a curriculum which addresses identified opportunities related to resuscitation management thereby enhancing clinical performance and outcomes.
      • 3.1 Develops learning strategies that allow for responsiveness to emerging changes and advances in resuscitation management.
    • 4. In collaboration with leadership, maintains responsibility for the implementation of the Resuscitation Management quality improvement program.
      • 4.1 Maintains oversight of the coordination and monitoring of resuscitation processes at YNHH appropriately incorporating into performance improvement initiatives.
    • 5. Maintains responsibility for the identification, recommendation, implementation, and evaluation of best practices using data and associated methodologies and analytics.
      • 5.1 Maintains competency as a super-user for computer based applications such as EPIC, GWTG, and other job related computer applications as deemed appropriate.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION

     

    Bachelors Degree of Nursing required. Master's Degree in Healthcare and/or Business preferred.

     

    EXPERIENCE

     

    Minimum of eight (8) years nursing experience in an acute care environment; a minimum of five (5) years experience in critical care nursing required. Experience in a leadership role required.

     

    LICENSURE

     

    Current CT RN license.

     

    SPECIAL SKILLS

     

    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor preferred or completed within 6 months of hire. Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation Certification preferred or completed within 6 months of hire.
