    The Advanced Practice Provider - Lead will provide clinical and administrative support for the advanced practice providers and nursing staff in the department of assignment. The Advanced Practice Provider- Lead will also work clinically to supplement the activities of the other advanced practice providers as needed. The Advanced Practice Provider- Lead will report administratively to the Clinical Program Director and work in close collaboration with the Directors for the department(s) of assignment. Administrative responsibilities will be approximately 20% of position, with Clinical duties approximately 80% of position depending upon the needs of the department.

    Responsibilities

    • 1. Administrative
      • 1.1 Works with medical and administrative supervisors in reviewing applications, interviewing and hiring of candidates. Coordinates interviewing process/selection of new staff.
    • 2. Operational
      • 2.1 Ensures compliance with all YNHH policies and procedures.
    • 3. Education
      • 3.1 Identifies information needs of team members, patients and families. Provides related teaching and education to unit staff.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION


    MSN required. Certified as a Clinical Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.


    EXPERIENCE


    Minimum of three years of related experience in the specialty area of assignment in a hospital environment. Previous administrative experience preferred.


    LICENSURE


    current state license as RN and APRN (or eligible).


    SPECIAL SKILLS


    Must have excellent clinical, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, develop and lead programs, foster a positive work environment. Strong initiative and excellent leadership skills.
