Performs pulmonary function, billing, calibrations, and maintenance of equipment. Patient and family centered care (PFCC) at YNHH is demonstrated by working with patients and their families based on the 4 principles of PFCC: participation, dignity and respect, information sharing, and collaboration. This includes providing service excellence by creating a great "First Impression" by demonstrating exemplary customer service skills for all customer groups including patients, families/friends, physicians, staff and support department personnel. Requires an AS or BS degree in a science or preferably Respiratory Therapy. Requires Connecticut License as a Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) or Certified Pulmonary Function Technician (CPFT) certified before October 1997 or a licensed Registered Nurse.
A licensed Respiratory Therapist or Certified Pulmonary Function Technician or a licensed Registered Nurse with at least one year of experience in their specified field.
RRT, CRT, or RN
The technologic development and advances in the field of pulmonary medicine require up-to-date knowledge and experience in pulmonary function testing. Computer literacy and strong mathematical skills are also desired.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
