The Education Specialist is an expert in the specialty of nursing staff development responsible for program and curriculum management. Under the direction of the Director, the Education Specialist leads in the design, implementation and evaluation of educational processes which supports education and practice support within Service Lines. The ES builds programs which supports lifelong learning and facilitates the adult learning process. The ES is directly accountable for strategic program development, implementation and evaluation related to core services.
MSN preferred. Current Connecticut State RN Nursing licensure required. Relevant certification or demonstrated teaching / staff development experience preferred.
2-3 years of relevant program and/or teaching experience required.
Business Acumen: knowledgeable in current and possible future practices, policies, trends, technology and information affecting core services. Simulation/Technology experience preferred. Perspective: thinks globally-organization wide. Look towards broadest possible view of an issue/challenge. Strategic Agility: able to articulate credible visions of possibilities, sees ahead clearly and plans accordingly. Total Work Systems: seeks to reduce variances in department processes.
