The Oncology APP (Advanced Practice Provider) is either an advanced practice nurse or physicians assistant who is an integral part of a multidisciplinary disease team providing specialized care to a population of patients with cancer in the extended care unit. The incumbent works in collaboration with the attending physicians and other members of the disease team to manage patients during all phases of the disease process from diagnosis, through treatment and discharge or end of life. PA or APRN Extended Care Clinic
Graduate of an approved APRN or PA program required. Graduation from an APRN position with concentrated oncology clinicals is preferred.
Experience as an APRN or PA. Oncology RN experience is preferred.
