With the supervision of a Social Work Manager and the guidance of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the social worker will perform professional social work services to Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients/families/staff in the Yale-New Haven Hospital network. Professional supervision means face to face consultation between one supervisor and one supervise consisting of review, periodic written evaluation, and assessment of the supervisor's practice of social work for a total of 3,000 hours of work experience and 100 hours of supervision as a requirement for licensure for Licensed Clinical Social Worker in accordance with the State of Connecticut Regulations.
Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
Minimum of two field placements from an accredited School of Social Work in an appropriate clinical setting.
Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) from the State of Connecticut or those holding LMSW license from other states will need an endorsement and meet the State of Connecticut license requirements.
Work under the supervision of a Social Work Manager and the professional guidance from an LCSW and provide clinical practice in a health care setting; to participate in teaching within the department, Hospital and university setting. Computer experience and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and data entry systems.
