This position is accountable for the provision of quality outcome-based educational programs and practice support, which promote initial and ongoing competency and continuous development of nursing staff. Accountable 24/7 for staff education needs.
Service Line Educator Position and schedule
Work Schedule: Off-shift, nights
Work hours: between the hours of 7pm and 7am
Scheduled hours: 40
Work days: Monday through Friday, weekends as needed
Work shift: Off-shift, weekends/holidays as needed; occasional day hours as needed
Responsible for supporting staff on inpatient oncology units on the off-shift
(NP11, NP12, NP14, NP15, Extended Care Clinic)
Bachelor's Degree - BSN required.
3-5 years of active clinical nursing experience, one year of relevant teaching experience preferred, Current CT Registered Nurse License, Certification in nursing staff development and/or specialty area preferred, Oncology RN experience is required.
